Iced Paint

 

2 tsp. powdered tempera paint
1/3 c water
Wax-coated paper cup
Craft stick
Plastic wrap

~~Mix powdered tempera paint and water

~~Pour into cup.

~~Cover with plastic wrap,

~~Insert craft stick through plastic

~~Place in freezer until solid.

~~Remove cup and plastic wrap

~~Dip into water to paint

Whipped Paint

*Hint use same amount of glue and shaving cream

 

Glue

Shaving cream

Food coloring

 

Mix together and paint

Paint will dry to a hard puffy finish

Are you tired of the smell of paint ? Try this idea---

Just add extracts to the paints.

  • Lemon or bannana in the yellow
  • Strawberry in the red
  • Mint or lime in the green
  • Vanilla in the white
  • Chocolate or almond in the brown
  • Pumpkin pie spice for the orange
  • Grape in the purple

The combinations are unlimited!

Bathtub Paints

 

1/3 c clear mild liquid dish detergent
1 Tbs. cornstarch
Food coloring
Ice cube tray / or empty travel size bottles

 

 

~~Mix dish detergent and cornstarch together  

~~Pour into ice cube tray or travel bottles

~~Add coloring

~~Mix

~~Use

 

 

 

 

Puff Paint

 

  • 2 c Flour
  • 2 c Salt
  • 2 c Water
  • Food coloring

 

-- Add food coloring to water.

-- Mix equal amounts of flour, salt and water. (i.e. 1/4 c of each with different colors used in water)

-- Pour mixture into squeeze bottles

-- Paint

**Mixture will become puffy as it dries.

Watercolors

 

3 Tbs. baking soda
3 Tbs. cornstarch
3 Tbs. white vinegar
1-1/2 tsp. light corn syrup
Food coloring

 

 

~~Mix ingredients together except coloring.

~~Divide mixture into plastic tubs or jars

~~Add coloring to each tub

~~Mix.

~~Use as they are or

~~Dry out into hard cakes of paint.

~~To use just dip brush into water then onto the paint

Finger paint

 

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups cold water
  • food coloring or bio colors

 

-- In a medium pan, mix all ingredients.

-- Cook over low heat 10 to 15 min.

-- Keep stirring until smooth and thick.

-- Let cool.

-- Divide into storage containers 

-- Add coloring  

** Cover tightly when storing.
