Hi!

My name is Ms. Debby.

I am a mother of six, three boys and three girls from 7 - 17 years of age.

I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development and I am continuing to receive my Bachelor’s. I have just recently added a minor in Psychology.

In addition to all of this I am also a published poet. Poetry gives me a way to extend my creative process and to grow personally.

WOW!

I have just received news that I was nominated into the who's who of teachers, and I just want to say...

THANK YOU! To whom ever it was that nominated me!
What a great honor!

So why have I made my own website when there are so many already?

Well sometimes I can't find exactly what I'm looking for (Rebus recipes and wood working activities for example) that it can become frustrating! So on these pages I have put together my own ideas and a collection of others that I have enjoyed all in one place!

I hope you have found these pages helpful and if you have a story, an activity, results from ideas on these pages, a bit of humor, thoughts, questions, or suggestions to share please email me!

I enjoy discovering the world through a child; they so often teach me things and see things in such a wonderful way! Each day always brings something new

Rebus Recipes have recently been moved to their own web site at Brighteyes Learning 2! It's been wonderful knowing that my sites have been so well recieved.

Thank You to all who have visited my web sites!

What's with the name?

Brighteyes has been my nickname throughout my life. It also refers to the gleam in a child’s eyes!

So Brighteyes Learning was born through that special sparkle children have especially when they are learning (&getting into mischief) and my nickname

Looking to the future: These are works in progress

Rebus recipe book

Creative cooking, Cooking crafts for children (book & workshop)

Getting Dirty, Discovering the world through the eyes of a child (activity book & workshop)

For myself I am considering working for child protective services, I feel that my love and compassion will suite me for this job.

I will also continue working on Brighteyes Learning to bring more activities to you.

Still can't find what you were looking for? Have a comment or suggestion? Just fill out the form below and I will do my best to fill your request!
