Materials:

 

Garden edging (plastic , wood, or brick)

Sand

Mulch

Pebbles

Rocks

Grass

Play matt

Water

Shredded tires

 

Directions 

 

Lay out garden edging to mark path

Divide path into sections using garden edging to separate

Fill each section with different materials

Encourage children to walk the path barefoot

 

*NOTE

Some children may not like the feel of the materials on their bare feet.

*HINT

 

Water section

 

Make a hole in edging for a water hose on one side.

Make another hole on opposite side to drain water.

It may be necessary to make a path for the water to drain away From your sensory path.
